INTRODUCTION
NKS TRADING SDN BHD was incorporated on 22 October 1978 by Mr. Wong @ Ng Ka Sing and Madam Kuan Choy Khuan @ Kuan Choy Cheun with the primary aim of retail trading in motorcycle repair-parts.
The company had modest beginnings as a supplier of motorcycle repair-parts with its business premises at No.648-650, Jalan Sentul. 51200 Kuala Lumpur.
With Malaysia’s economic growth since 1980, the motorcycle became part of the infrastructure of the country; and in tandem with the increased demand for the vehicle, the demand for motorcycle spare-parts also increased. The decision-makers of NKS TRADING SDN BHD were quick to recognize the opportunities presented by the burgeoning market for motorcycle spare-parts, and decided to venture into the manufacture of the said products. After a year’s planning, the necessary groundwork was completed and NKS DISTRIBUTORS SDN BHD was incorporated on 27 August 2001.
NKS DISTRIBUTORSSDN BHD focuses more on producing quality motorcycle spare-parts. The main products manufactured by them are: -
- Aluminium Parts - Lever, Footrest Bracket, Clutch Housing, Wheel Hub, etc.
- Plastic Parts - Head Lamp Assembly, Tail Lamp Assembly, Signal Lamp, Body Cover Set, etc.
Since its incorporation in 1978, the original company, NKS TRADING SDN BHD, has built up considerable goodwill for its business as well as a reputable name for itself in the market. To add to its efficiency and productivity, it set up another subsidiary registered as NKS SPORTS BIKERS SDN BHD to gain a monopoly over the local market.
Currently, the three companies, NKS TRADING SDN BHD, NKS DISTRIBUTORS SDN BHD and NKS SPORTS BIKERS SDN BHD operate under the same banner and have a common registered office at 704A, 1st Floor, Jalan Sentul, 51000 Kuala Lumpur.
COMPANY BACKGROUND
NKS DISTRIBUTORS commenced operations by setting up a manufacturing base at No. 17, The Boulevard Shop Office (Off Jalan Sentul), 51100 Kuala Lumpur, while NKS TRADING had a showroom-cum-sales and marketing office at No.648-650, Jalan Sentul, 51000 Kuala Lumpur. NKS BIKERS SDN BHD marketed their product designs at No.630-636, Jalan Sentul, 51000 Kuala Lumpur.
The manufacturing plant of NKS DISTRIBUTORS SDN BHD is fully equipped with a comprehensive set of machinery and equipments to produce all motorcycle spare- parts.

To secure a firm niche in the market, the Group developed its individual corporate identity and adopted the brand name of NAKASONE to project itself to its customer-base and the general public.
Besides pursuing its own operations, the Group also extends our services by acting as distributors for international brands such as Shell, Dunlop, Castrol, Bridgestone, Givi and Fieldshever.

OUR EXPANSION
The NKS Group’s vision is to be Malaysia’s top suppliers of motorcycle spare parts in Malaysia. To achieve this target, the Group has formulated the following expansion programme: -
- A Research & Development department will be set up to study market trends and develop product design for the purpose of securing a firmer niche and creating greater demands in the market.
- A special research team will dedicate itself to creating a new trend that will be readily adopted by the Malaysian market.
- A more aggressive and professional sales approach will be deployed by the company.
- Training on product-knowledge will be conducted monthly for the marketing team.
- Emphasis will be placed on giving customer satisfaction top priority.
- A customer-service department will be set up.
- A programme to harness and optimize all the company’s resources will be set up.
- Stock purchases will be computerized and centralized for greater efficiency.
- A “one-stop” facility will be set up whereby the company will provide a customer with the services of a mechanic to undertake any necessary repairs on the spot, thereby saving the customer unnecessary expenditure, time and hassle.
